She was managing editor of The Daytona Beach News-Journal for 13 years and a former senior reporter for the Orlando Sentinel. She served as President of the Florida Society for News Editors and twice served as a judge for the Pulitzer Prizes in Journalism. She enjoys writing in her free time and spending time with her husband and their teenage son.
