How fresh is the journalist data?
The directory is rebuilt continuously from primary sources (MuckRack export feed plus our own crawl of bylines and publication staff pages). Each profile carries a completeness score that drops as fields go stale, and the directory hides the bottom 20% by default. Roughly 95% of contacts are accurate at any given time — we surface the rest with a "verify before sending" warning.
Is this GDPR compliant? What about CCPA?
Yes to both. Every journalist profile has a one-click data-request link. Removals are processed within 72 hours and the slug is permanently retired so the page can't be re-created from a future import. EU and California users also get the standard subject-access flows from /privacy.
Can journalists claim and edit their own profile?
Yes. A journalist can register with the email we already have on file, claim their profile, and from there edit their bio, beats, pitch preferences, and recent articles. Edits go live immediately. We never charge journalists.
