I am a freelance writer, Accredited Financial Counselor® and military spouse (retired) from Bainbridge Island, Washington. During my husband's Navy career, I transferred my skills as a newspaper reporter to freelance writing, with a focus on military families, personal finance and healthcare. I am a member of the Association of Healthcare Journalists, and I received my financial counseling accreditation as an AFC through the FINRA Military Spouse Fellowship program.
